It seems for many people the idea of Whatsapp being confined only within the bounds of a smartphone handset is still not enough. This is why whatsapp creators have finally made the world’s most popular messaging service whatsapp available in the web.
Now users can chat with their friends from heir desktop or laptop just by the following few steps.
First the user would have to open whatsapp from their smartphone where they would find the ‘whatsapp web’ option, once they enter it, the user would have to scan a QR code which could be found on the whatsapp web site and the rest is taken care of now whatsapp is available on the desktop.
But there are certain drawbacks along the way, one of them is the fact that only google chrome can be used as the browser to run the app not mozilla firefox and not even the basic window’s Internet Explorer.
If you are an apple phone user than this desktop idea would not be possible as it does not support the brand due to Apple’s own limitations.
Users wont be able to block any of their contacts, they would have to do it manually from their phone.
Users would not be able to create a new chat group or leave one, this would also have to be done from the phone first.
But compared to its success and popularity the drawbacks doesn’t seem to pose any real threat to the whatsapp company at all as google chrome is the world’s No 1 browser and there are more smartphone users compared to the apple users who are frequently using whatsapp.
